Songdo, 18 Apr 2017. The Green Climate
Fund launches “GCF 101” – a new web-based guide that provides Partners
with detailed information on how to access the Fund’s resources. The
guide aims to help GCF stakeholders better navigate the many elements of
engaging with the Fund.

The network of communicators on the environment and information in
Central Africa (RECEIAC) held a workshop. The sub regional workshop
aimed to strengthen the capacities of journalists and communicators in
the field of climate change and REDD+ for sustainable management of
ecosystems in the Congo Basin.

All the activities organized for World
Migratory Bird Day are united by a common theme. With the 2017 theme
"Their Future is our Future", WMBD will throw light on the topic of
"Sustainable Development for Wildlife and People".

These tools and instruments,
collectively known as financial protection, can help people cope with
the impacts of climate-related disasters, reduce costs of recovery and
reconstruction, and encourage risk reduction. Linking financial
protection and climate adaptation in development planning and policy has
the potential to increase the resilience of affected communities.

World Migratory Bird Day (WMBD) was
initiated in 2006 and is an annual awareness-raising campaign
highlighting the need for the conservation of migratory birds and their
habitats. It has a global outreach and is an effective tool to help
raise global awareness of the threats faced by migratory birds, their
ecological importance, and the need for international cooperation to
conserve them.

GCF) and the Rules of Procedures of the Board, the Co-Chairs in
consultation with the Board, invite accredited observer organizations to
the seventeenth meeting of the Board of the Green Climate Fund, to be

Terms of
Reference for the recruitment of a consultant to carry out a Review and
Analysis of ESIAs and ESMPs of selected infrastructure, extractive and
agro-industrial projects in the Campo Ma’an Technical Operations Unit.
The Congo
Basin Grant Program (CBGP) has been established to provide competitive research
grants of up to $5,000 USD for African graduate students and early career professionals
working in the areas of biodiversity, conservation and environmental
sustainability in the Congo Basin region.
The CMS
Secretariat would like to draw attention to a call from the Intergovernmental
Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES) to take
part in the review of the four regional assessments of biodiversity and ecosystem
services, and the thematic assessment on land degradation and restoration.
The officer
will work in close relationship with the FAO REDD+ regional technical advisors
based in Rome and Nairobi, and with the programme assistant to the FAO
