Update on Mutual Recognition with CSA-GTP

On 18 July 2025, the Alliance partners (OVOCOM-FCA, EFISC-GTP, and GMP+International) met with CSA-GTP to attempt finalizing the Temporary Mutual Recognition Agreement signed on 24 December 2024 into a permanent long-term arrangement.

Despite previous discussions and sufficient time to align, CSA-GTP was not able to resolve key outstanding issues, preventing the conclusion of a definitive agreement.

As a result, and in the interest of market stability, the Alliance has decided to stop the temporary agreement by 31 December 2025. From January 2026 onwards, trade and physical supply from CSA-GTP will fall under new requirements, amongst others gatekeeping principles.

The Alliance expects CSA-GTP to act with urgency and commitment if they still look for a mutual recognition.

Any trade concluded (physically) before 31 December 2025 remains valid and will not be affected.

An update will follow in the coming months.
